| I am running because I want to bring more jobs to western North Carolina. We need jobs in the private sector and lower taxes on small businesses in order for them to hire more employees. Unemployment is going the wrong way. I recognize the skills and strength of our workforce. |
Your economic well being is my number one priority and why I want to serve as your Senator in the North Carolina Legislature. I promise to do everything within my power to return this state to the values that made it part of the best country in the world. |
Government should be as limited and as local as possible. The less local it is, the more limited its power should be. I will work hard to apply this principle so as to increase personal freedom, which will secure lasting opportunity, create real jobs, and so return true prosperity. |

I would like to get us away from our spend-more, tax-more mentality. The borrower is always a servant to the lender. I will not vote for ordinances or amendments that violate the Constitution and have excessive penalties for minor offenses. |
I believe Haywood County can set a positive example for western North Carolina. I know the struggles of young families in our area, trying to provide for their children. I understand the challenges of business owners trying to comply with the rules and ordinances of the county. |
